Happy Thanksgiving
Janet and Shirley left yesterday, the day before Thanksgiving. We've spoken to Janet this morning and both are safely home in England. We celebrated an almost traditional American Thanksgiving on Tuesday. The Brits went along with all the traditional American foods...almost. I had to strong-arm them on the American mashed potatoes versus the English idea of roast potatoes with turkey. But, afterall. whose holiday is it anyway? I did rollover and concede regarding the pumpkin pie when they all started rolling their eyes at each other at its mention. We were totally non-traditional, gave a cursory nod to the French and made a Creme' Caramel. We managed to throw together a scrumptiously moist turkey, corn and carrot pudding, candied sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, sausage and chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy. All followed by the Creme' Caramel and coffee.
Today, we will again have Thanksgiving dinner with a group of neighbors. I leave you with the following Thanksgiving wishes...

love the video, looked at it twice. little things please little minds i suppose. hope you have lots of planning to do and dont feel down with Janet and Shirley going home. took cole to agility. little so and so: had to go in a circle away from an aframe and then back to go up and over. i went one way, he went opposite, realised there was a titbit at the end and decided to cut the corners and race for it. the swine, got his reward while i was running toward a tunnel bleating the command for that, realised i had no dog and there was the smug wretch munching on his treat and looking as though butter wouldn't melt in his dear little mouth. needless to say the rest of the class was convulsed and of course no other dog did it his way. not supposed to be cross if they do a contact but so difficult to say with gritted teeth; good dog. nearly choked! grrrrr.......................
