And some of these...

I'd want five hens and a rooster.  I would name the girls Stevie Chicks, Janis Joplin, Judy Collins, Billie Holiday and Madonna.  The rooster would be Joe Cocker.

Please say you love me.  I would be a kind and loving chicken mother and I would never ever make Fricassee de Poulet. I would make lots of quiches and omelettes.  It would be a no kill chicken spa.  I promise.

We had some like that until the foxes came ahunting! Neighbours came amoaning, didn't like the awakening at Sunrise. We had some lovely ducks with a gang leader of one chicken, but even with great care they were gone before bedtime one day. All we had left was one spot of blood on the patio to grieve over. Jill
